What Is My-ShoppingBox?
My-ShoppingBox is an online mail and package forwarding service operated by First Imperial Cargo. Inc. My-ShoppingBox was conceptualized to provide cost effective shipping solutions to online shoppers and merchants. It was developed as a web based portal providing online shoppers the convenience of U.S. address with variable shipping options.
What Are The Services Of My-ShoppingBox?
1. A U.S. address to forward their online purchases or packages from friends and relatives in the U.S.
2. Flexible and cost effective shipping options by air or sea, depending on the need of the Subscriber.
How much do these services cost?
The Annual Subscription Fee is $25.00 per address.

How Do I Pay For These Services?
My-ShoppingBox is a full function website that is designed to process all transactions online. You can use your credit card to pay for each transaction. For your security, we do not retain your credit card information on our website. Your payment transaction is routed through the payment gateway of Banco de Oro Bank (BDO). The payment gateway is equipped with the latest site security technology and information sent to the payment gateway is fully encrypted.
When will my package be dispatched and shipped?
It takes 2 to 3 working days to complete the export formalities of a consolidation shipment. Therefore please expect to see the status of your package to be updated thereafter.
When Can I Start Using My-ShoppingBox?
Upon payment of the Subscription Fee, an email notification will be sent confirming receipt of payment and the full details of your MYSHOPPINGBOX account which will appear as follows:

The Subscriber can start purchasing merchandise from U.S. online stores and use the above address as the Shipping Address when asked for the information to complete the transaction.
When you make any purchases with a U.S. merchant, please advise them to always include your suite number so as not to incur any delay in the processing of your domestic shipment at the MSB facility.
It is also advised to inform the merchant that you have intentions of shipping the order overseas, and for them to pack the goods well for international transport in the safest, most compact and lightest way possible.
I requested that my packages be shipped at the same time, how come I'm receiving these on different days?
It may be that the nature of the goods do not allow that these can be shipped together, or that the available containers on which the packages were supposed to be stowed is already full, resulting to the packages being split during loading. This may therefore result to packages arriving on different days.
Can a relative or friend send me merchandise/goods to My-ShoppingBox?
My-ShoppingBox will accept goods, merchandise and packages from friends and relatives for so long as they are addressed to a Subscriber with a valid account.
Deliveries by friends/relatives or merchants should be addressed to the subscriber of record.
MSB shall have the right to refuse acceptance of deliveries on behalf of a subscriber without the subscriber's name on the package. These goods and/or merchandise shall automatically be returned to the sender.
How do I track my packages?
My-ShoppingBox has tracking system that will provide the current status of a package. Subscribers only need to enter the package reference number in the "Track Your Packages" box on the website and the status of the package appears on the screen. Can you ship electronics and furniture items?
Yes, but the subscriber should advise the merchant to properly package and crate the item for international shipping. Aside from this, the subscriber must request the merchant to check if the electronic item is working properly, and is in good condition.
The electronic item must be accompanied with a sales invoice and warranty that specifically states that the merchant is liable for any internal defect of their product.
My-ShoppingBox reserves the right to refuse acceptance of a package if it finds the packaging deficient for international shipping.
Electronic items such as televisions sets and the like, shall strictly be charged insurance premium based on the sales invoice as received by the MSB U.S. Facility.
What are packages, goods or merchandise unacceptable for shipment?
UNACCEPTABLE FOR SHIPMENT BY AIR OR SEA
Lithium batteries
Illegal drugs, chemicals or substances
Substances that are not packed in commercially labeled consumer packs
Contraband and other goods and materials prohibited by law
Currencies, cash, checks, money orders and other negotiable instruments
Explosives and combustible items
Firearms/Bladed Weapons, ammunition, re-loaders, firearm parts and accessories
Flammable materials, liquids/fluids, fuel, thinners, petroleum based paints, varnishes
Gambling materials
Gas cylinders and items containing compressed air or gas, flammable gas, fire extinguishers
Goods in commercial quantity
Lubricants
Human remains
Jewelries, precious metals, high value wrist watches and others personal accessories
Goods classified as "Valuable Cargo". These are goods whose value is over $2,000.00 or those with a pro-rated value per package of over $450.00 per pound.
Live plants and animals, including stuffed animals
Perishable foodstuff and beverages
Poisonous, toxic substances, pesticides
Pornographic materials
Replicas of guns and firearms, including toy guns, air-soft guns, air-guns, tools and accessories
Tobacco, Cigars and cigarettes
Other goods and items without proper documentation, clearance, permit, and packaging
ACCEPTABLE ONLY FOR SEA FREIGHT
Beverages, and other liquids for human consumption
Household appliances, such as TVs, microwave ovens, mini components and similar items that are properly packed for international transport.
Perfumes, hair care products such as mousse, gels and the like.
Personal care products such as lotions, toiletries and the like
How Is the Chargeable Weight of A Package Computed?
The weight of each package is computed on the basis of actual gross weight or dimensional or volumetric weight, whichever is higher. The formula for the dimensional weight is as follows:
Whereby "166 cubic inches = 1 pound", multiply the Length x Width x Height divided by 166, the resulting number is the Volume Weight.
If the Volume Weight is higher than the Actual Weight of a package, then the Chargeable Shipping Weight shall be the Volume Weight, or vice versa, as the case may be.
This is automatically computed by the My-ShoppingBox website whenever a package is received and uploaded to a Subscriber's account.
What About Insurance Coverage?
Insurance coverage is provided for the first $100.00 of the declared value of the merchandise. In excess of $100.00, the Subscriber has the option to purchase additional insurance coverage at 4% of the amount over $100.00.
Insurance coverage is limited to the total loss only through theft or pilferage.
Damage to the contents due to failure of packaging is not covered.
Maximum insurable value is $2,000.00 per package.
In the event the value exceeds $2,000.00, the goods may be accepted at subscriber's risk or refused outright by My-ShoppingBox.
What About Customs Import Fees?
My-ShoppingBox will handle customs formalities in Manila which is also part of the service provided on a door-to-door basis. Customs processing fees, taxes and cargo terminal handling fees are already included in the shipping fees.
Are There Any Storage Charges?
A Subscriber is given fifteen (15) days free storage for each parcel received at the MSB U.S. Facility. The count starts when the parcel is received by the MSB U. S. facility and a notice through email is given to the subscriber. In excess of the the fifteen (15) day until sixty (60) day period, the storage rate is $0.20 per lb, per day.
If the parcel is not acted upon by the subscriber inspite of notices given by MSB, after the 60 day period, MSB/FICI has the right to dispose of the unshipped goods/merchandise, with unpaid storage charges to pay for the costs.
How Do I Know A Package Has Been Delivered?
My-ShoppingBox will notify a Subscriber by email each time a package has arrived at the MSB U.S. Facility and the details uploaded to the Subscriber's My-ShoppingBox account with all the pertinent information.
Can My-ShoppingBox combine and consolidate my purchases from various merchants, and pack these in a single box so I can save on shipping fees?
My-ShoppingBox will automatically ship together packages of subscribers that are "Authorized for Shipment" on the same day, with the same type of shipping. However, the charge for each package shall remain the same, as our basis for charging is for each package that is received, inspected, tagged and logged into our system, which is why each package is immediately assigned its own tracking number.
What About Large and Odd Size Packages?
My-ShoppingBox is in the process of developing a service for packages of this nature. Presently, we can offer you a customized tariff based on the size of of the package you intend to ship. These are acceptable only on a case to case basis and are subject to a weight handling charge as published in our Rates Page. Please contact our Customer Service before making any purchases.
Why is the weight of a package coming from the merchant or from the courier, different from the received by the subscriber from My-ShoppingBox?
The sales invoice from the US Merchant indicates the shipping weight based on the Ground Shipping or Domestic Air Shipping Rate to the MSB U.S. Facility.
More often than not, the domestic carrier or courier does not utilize the volumetric shipping standards and base it on the actual weight of the package. If the carrier does not utilize the volumetric rate calculation, the subscriber will receive a lower billable rate.
Actual weight is the scaled weight of a package.
Volumetric weight is related to the package's measurement and the space it occupies upon being transported.
For international shipping, the weight will be strictly based on the Actual or Volumetric Weight of the package, whichever is higher. Package received at the MSB Facility for international shipping shall then be based on international shipping standards.
We strongly advise our subscribers to request the U.S. Merchant to see if they can reduce/compress the packaging of the goods or merchandise.
But please bear in mind that "Fragile" items such as glassware or electronic items may come with a lot of packaging so the goods or merchandise may be larger than expected.
What if the item is lost while in the possession of My-ShoppingBox?
My-ShoppingBox will only be liable for the amount as shown in the sales invoice of the merchant, not exceeding $ 100.00, unless a higher insurance was paid by the subscriber.
What if the goods received at the MSB Facility is damaged?
My-ShoppingBox shall immediately send an email to the subscriber if the package received by its facility has apparent damage. A detailed description the damaged package shall be given to the subscriber.
MSB shall not ship out the package to the subscriber unless they receive an email advising them to do so by the subscriber.
The subscriber shall have to contact their merchant directly and arrange for either an exchange or refund, as well as advising the customer service of MSB of their stated action.
What if the goods received by the subscriber is damaged?
As a general rule, if the package received by the MSB U.S. Facility does not have any apparent damage, but upon receipt by the subscriber there is damaged in the item, MSB is not liable at all for it. The merchant involved should warrant that the items to be purchased are in good condition and properly packed for international transport.
What is the Limited Liability Rule on behalf of My-ShoppingBox?
All packages are shipped on a limited liability basis unless a higher insurance rate is applied for by the subscriber. In no event shall My-ShoppingBox's aggregate liability exceed $100.00, unless a higher value is declared with a higher premium paid for by the subscriber as stated in the Terms and Conditions of this website. In no event shall My-ShoppingBox be liable to anyone for any direct damages whether punitive, exemplary, incidental, consequential or any other damages of any kind, unless the damages incurred on the package is proven that it was though My-ShoppingBox gross negligence or willful misconduct.
